This item should always be on a nurses booklist. I purchased this book before starting on my course as I was worried that nursing calculations were going to be hideously difficult. The book gradually introduces you to more and more difficult calculations but provides you with numerous examples and explanations. I have no doubt that this book helped me achieve 32 out of 33 in a calculations test. Thank you! Really informative book, with little tests along the way to get you ready for university. I've bought several numeracy books for nursing and this one is the best - its easy to read and a nice size and weight (not to heavy to carry around). Lots of exercises with answers. With universities increasingly requiring maths tests for entry onto nursing courses this is a good one for brushing up your numeracy prior to selection day, as well as being used by unis for teaching during the course (so goes through to an advanced level). A particular plus is its glossy pages which were an added plus when I split coffee over mine - and it has survived without too much damage. Well worth the money. Love, love, LOVE this book! This is like the idiots guide to drug calculations. No time wasting! No pages and pages of reading! Just practice practice practice with explainations and answers. Why else would we all be raving about this book if its not excellent? Love it! I would not hesitate to recommend this book to everyone in healthcare responsible for administering drugs (I am a student midwife). I would reccomend this book to any student nurse. I am now in my third year and I still use this book to refresh my memory before a drugs calculation test. It has lots of calculations for you to practice with and is a must if you struggle with things like IV calculations. Easy to use and understand. The best book I have found to help me with my drugs calculations. Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
