Overview

This volume contains 14 papers, presented at the Symposium on High Performance Scientific Computing organized by FORTWIHR, the Bavarian consortium for HPSC, and held on June 17-18, 1993 in Munich, Germany. The numerical simulation, for example, the mathematical calculation of technical processes in advance, has gained immensely in significance for numerous key areas of the economy.
