Mohammed Bin Salem, the main author, is currently Emeritus Professor in the Civil Engineering department at Qatar University, Qatar. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the area of structural engineering. He has secured more than $2.3 million in funded research, with his work published in over 35 peer-reviewed papers to date. His research interests include the earthquake response of structures, the design and analysis of buildings in seismic zones, analytical modeling, and the development of innovative approaches for reinforced concrete and steel design.Prof Mohammed is also the author of two books on structural analysis and design, including ""Practical Reinforced Concrete Design"" and ""Structural Analysis and Selected Topics"".
