Author Information

Richard Schain is an independent philosopher dividing his time between Alamos, Mexico; Sonoita, Arizona; and Menton, France. He received A.B. (philosophy) and M.D. degrees from New York University and, in a prior life, he served as Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at UCLA. His philosophical publications reflect the predicament of a nonreligious, metaphysically-minded individual living in an age of scientism, materialism, and superannuated religions. Nevertheless, he finds the search for his own inner reality and for an ultimate metaphysical reality uplifting for his soul.
