Note Reading on the Grand Staff

Overview

Originally created as a supplement for beginning piano lessons, this book is an excellent resource for any music student, regardless of their instrument. After orienting the student to the Grand Staff, it introduces them to 10 ""landmark notes"" and 4 other ""symmetries,"" and then it relates the remaining notes of the Grand Staff to those landmark notes. This book also helps students to develop an understanding of intervals, accidentals, and key signatures, and how to identify and read them on the Grand Staff. An exciting new resource, this book reinforces concepts through numerous review exercises, and it contains answer keys and keyboard diagrams for selected figures.
