Author Information

Robert L Lewis, an engineering consultant, has a love for poetry, books, history and collecting wooden nutcrackers. He has written many poems and stories. This is his first publication. Robert was born in South Dakota. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He lives with his wife Sherrie in Bakersfield, California and has five children and nine grandchildren. Robert was deeply touched by the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and wrote the thoughts of this poem on that day, so that the lives of the victims and the heroes would not be forgotten.
