OverviewDescription 'Not That Word' is a full length play that delves into what it is like to be gay and mentally ill. The script documents the life of a suicidal teen that goes to live in a youth home for depressed gays. He falls in love and reconciles with his mother. With the suicide rate amongst gay teens so disproportionately high in our society there really are places like this for gay teens in America, although they are sparse. This is an important and exciting script; one that deserves to be peformed in the West End. About the Author Stephen J. Habel was born in Chicago, Illinois where he now resides and writes full time.
