Amazon Reviews of Hardback Edition Gritty Action Thriller about the Nightmare of Trafficking Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2023 I read two books by this author: ""Angel"" and ""Lucifer's Daughter"" which were lyrical, mythical wonders, then I found this book by him and what a surprise. It's gritty, honest, way past spicy hot, and tells a story about a devastating subject: Human Trafficking. Getting right to how and why children go missing - and we let it happen, I liked the book wasn't political or preachy. It follows a young girl wishing to escape poverty, aspiring to be a model when seeing a sign on a bulletin board that called for model tryouts. So many young people are prompted to model, and it's one of the ways traffickers find victims. That's not a spoiler - it's described before you open the book. It's a solid premise, but here it becomes a powerful statement of how we let such things happen. The writing is Tom Clancy on steroids, the action way past ""Taken,"" and the story is not for the timid. I recommend it to ones who can read about such subjects and not be triggered as it doesn't not hold back on what happens. It has surprising heroes, cringe hardly describes the villains, and it keeps you engaged which is what a thriller is all about. I like that it tackles a controversial issue without regard for current opinions and tells a story that will touch you in a profound way. Excellent read! It shows how deep rooted evil in our society can take someone young and innocent, and use them for their own sick pleasure. Before readying this book. Check the trigger warnings, because this is dark! If you like books that are dark, horrifying, thrilling, action packed, and realistic, then you should give this book a try!

Terry Ulick has been a top-selling author and publisher since 1970. He also taught PhD-level writing, TV production and filmmaking. First producing instructional media, after selling his first publishing company to ABC, Inc., he moved to producing TV shows. Recruited to join Tribune Media, he was responsible for creating TV and movie entertainment listings and content, working with every major movie studio, TV network, and the emerging streaming industry. Understanding that both TV and movies would undergo a change due to streaming platforms, he shifted to movie making and creating new TV networks including Good Time Networks and Fantasy Realized TV. Still publishing and writing, all books he authors are intended to be made into mass-market movies. With creative and production skills that are top-par, he now develops and produces movies.
