OverviewHurricane Harvey was unique. It made landfall with less than 24 hours warning as a Category 4 Hurricane. Instead of weakening and moving on, it stayed on land, in Aransas County for 13 hours, grinding away. Winter Texans watched in horror from a distance. Residents were warned to evacuate; some did and some did not. In all three cases, the stories were different, as unique as the hurricane. These stories create the picture of Harvey, the disaster to hit a small, but much loved town and the people who experienced it. The people who told the tales and the author who collected the stories hope that you enjoy the chance to participate in Hurricane Harvey.
