Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMatthew Williams is a chartered geologist with a professional background in the construction industry. From 1981 he worked in Norwich as a geotechnical engineer for May Gurney & Company on a number of local construction projects, including the new Magistrates Court and Dencora House. He also oversaw the ground investigation work for the A11 Thetford bypass and other trunk roads. In 1988 he left to jointly set up an independent site investigation company SIC (East Anglia) Limited, which was run as a co-operative and traded successfully for 22 years. Over that period he oversaw exploratory ground investigations on over 2,000 different sites throughout East Anglia. He also completed a Master's degree in European traffic engineering and now works as a national standard cycle instructor for Smart Cycle Training.
