She has been knitting and designing for as long as she can remember. One of her most essential lifelong projects has been the Mirasol Project, an effort she and her husband Per undertook to enhance schooling opportunies for children living in the Peruvian highlands, funded in part by proceeds from the sale of hand-knitted items.
