Non-small cell lung cancer refers to a disease in which the cancer cells are formed in tissues of the lung. There are three common types of non-small cell lung cancer, namely, adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma. Smoking cigars, pipes or cigarettes is the major cause of this disease. Radiation therapy, air pollution and pulmonary fibrosis are some other causes of non-small cell lung cancer.
