"Approximately 85% of all instances of lung cancer are classified as non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The reason it is called ""non-small-cell"" lung cancer is that, when examined under a microscope, the cancer cells are bigger than small-cell lung cancer cells. The most prevalent subtypes of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) include adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and giant cell carcinoma. Important Information about Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer 1.
