B5)) and SMALL ENSEMBLE ACCOMPANIMENT (or with all doublings, orchestra) Nocturno Soñado (aka ""Nocturnal Dream"") is a beautiful and existential song in Spanish set to the poem by Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez (1881-1958) by American composer James Nathaniel Holland. This song evokes images of the relationship of the soul and the body in the hour of death and is the final song of Holland's song cycle Canciones Latinas (Female Voice) of original music set to poems through the centuries. However, the song text is appropriate for male or female high voice. This versatile publication not only contains the full score but individual parts, and can be performed with only harp (or piano) and voices or as only an instrumental presentation. Perfect for recital, religious setting or funeral/memorial service.
