Overview

Two writers are on a collision course. As a child, sixty-three-year-old contemporary author Warren Porter had been unable to save his brother, Connor, from drowning. But Connor's astonishing return from the dead leaves a young Warren with much to consider. Connor continues visiting Warren and provides him with stories from beyond the grave. Adult Warren uses Connor's stories to build a successful literary career for himself, but when trying to write his own material, hits a severe case of writer's block, existential guilt, and the intrusion of unnervingly repressed memories. Twenty-five-year-old Sarah Hughes, a 1970's small-town author, had an early life of storied success until her adult dreams were quickly dashed by New York's realities. Author Information

F. P. Dorchak has studied philosophy, physics, metaphysics, and ""flown"" satellites. He's been writing since he was six, has published five novels and one anthology, as well as numerous short stories. A Philosophy of Stars was a 2024 Best Book Awards Finalist in Science Fiction. He lives in Colorado with his wife and enjoys fitness, the outdoors, playing the violin, and messing around in the imagination.
