OverviewWhat if the stories you spent a lifetime hiding could finally be the ones that set you free? No One Is Normal is an honest and vulnerable memoir about what it means to grow up different, carry trauma into adulthood, and still choose to fight for a better life. Brad H. Hill invites readers into the moments that shaped him. He shares childhood dysfunction, early responsibility, addiction, marriage, loss, burnout, and the long and painful work of changing patterns that no longer serve him. Nothing in this book is told from a safe distance. Every chapter comes from lived experience. Brad writes with clarity, emotion, and a willingness to say what most people are afraid to admit. His story exposes the pressure to perform, the fear of failure, the weight of expectations, the collapse that comes when coping systems break down, and the turning point when he decided to face what he had been avoiding. A powerful section of the book is written through the perspective of his wife, Bonnie. Her voice adds a full second layer to the story. She shares what it feels like to love someone who is struggling, what it takes to hold a family together during difficult seasons, and what it means to rebuild trust through patience, honesty, and slow daily effort. Her chapters reveal the parts of the journey that only a partner can see. They bring depth and truth to the story in a way that readers will immediately feel. Inside this memoir, readers will find: A direct and honest look at trauma, identity, coping, and recovery Life lessons learned on farms, in factories, in corporate settings, and in quiet moments of reflection The real experience of marriage from both sides A partner who is struggling and a partner who is trying to hold everything together Reflections and journaling prompts to help readers look at their own experiences A reminder that emotional growth is a daily choice and not a single event The truth that personal change is possible, and no one becomes their best self alone Full Product DetailsAuthor: Brad H Hill , Bonnie Hill , Shelly KetelhutPublisher: Brad H. This is one of those books, that could be a life changing wisdom experience, for many who read it. Brad has combined amazing storytelling, with practical, and philosophical wisdom. I believe it would benefit any human life. I look forward to the upcoming, No One Is Normal podcast. Skye Seaborn 5 Stars Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase I came across this novel that I decided to review quite by accident. I was attracted by the title ""No one is normal"" because it is one of the most honest titles I have come across since I started reading books. After reading the free 3 chapters, I simply had to read the book from cover to cover; I bought it without thinking and guess what, I did not regret a single bit of time or money. The writer did what only a true writer should and must do, he stripped himself to the bone, writing in an exceptionally talented, dynamic and unusual style, using beautiful, deep, vivid images and metaphors that the book is flooded with. I will not exaggerate if I say that only the great Sam Shepard left such an impression on me. This book is not just a novel, but a beautiful living being whose heart beats strongly, a being that fills the reader with immense warmth and love. Many readers will identify with the author's story; they will find medicine in the warm way of storytelling that will heal them from the traumas of childhood and adolescence; a fate that, neither guilty nor guilty, grabbed them by the throat and threw them against the wall of a life that had no mercy. And in the end, this book is a true confirmation that NOBODY IS NORMAL. Tomislav Miocic Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
