Overview

In the 1980s, Dr. Kuttner spearheaded a pioneering pain management project for children undergoing painful medical procedures. She developed techniques of self-hypnosis, imaginary involvement, and distraction to help children, parents, as well as the medical staff cope with pain and anxiety.
