He is the author of Before Queer Theory: Victorian Aestheticism and the Self (2019). His other writings have appeared in Victorian Literature and Culture, Modernism/modernity, Victorian Studies, Feminist Modernist Studies, the Journal of Modern Literature, ELH, and elsewhere. Kristin Mahoney is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Michigan State University. She is the author of Literature and the Politics of Post-Victorian Decadence (Cambridge University Press, 2015) and Queer Kinship after Wilde: Transnational Decadence and the Family (Cambridge University Press, 2022).
