Nine Lives to Eternity tells of my real-life brushes with death, not only once but several times throughout my lifetime. The title was inspired by the nine lives of a cat, which I have certainly lived several times over with the numerous death-cheating situations I continually experienced. And as superstitious as I am about certain things, I started counting the times I have cheated death in my life, and my jaw dropped when I realized that I have survived an unbelievable twenty-seven lives through prayers, luck, faith, and possibly a guardian angel or two (or more)! With this knowledge, I wrote this book to give witness to the strength of my Christian faith and the wonders of divine spiritual intervention. In all these near-death experiences, I have been blessed to experience instances where I have felt not only God by my side, but I felt his influence to save my life literally and miraculously. From a tender age of nine months to the prime of my life at fifty-five years of age, my habitual death-cheating escapades have not been painless nor left me unscathed. I survived an accidental poisoning when I was a baby. I survived seven different machinery and equipment mishaps while working on our family's farm that resulted in a fractured leg, bruises all over my body, and several tractor troubles. I have also avoided horse and mule disasters no fewer than five times. Even my passion in motorcycle riding brought me not only the greatest pleasure, but also five singular accidents that nearly ended my life several times-the last one being the greatest and most painful one that required several surgeries and months of recovery. But it does not end there. I have escaped toxic fumes, death threats while working in third-world countries, fallen from a rooftop, and nearly crashed an airplane. Nine Lives to Eternity will tell an honest-to-goodness story of a life fraught with near-death situations but saved, several times over, by my strong faith in God and belief that the reason why I survived up to now is that God is not yet done with me, that my life has a purpose and a mission that I have to fulfill.
