His main interests are in nineteenth and twentieth-century post-Kantian philosophy, contemporary philosophy of mind, and aesthetics. P. J. E. Kail was educated at Keele University and the University of Cambridge, and has held positions at the University of Cambridge, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Oxford. His main interest is in eighteenth century British philosophy and more recently on questions concerning naturalism.
