Peter Tyrer is Emeritus Professor of Community Psychiatry at the Centre for Psychiatry, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London. Peter Tyrer has been practising nidotherapy for over twenty years and feels its advantages should be more widely known. When he received the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2015 nidotherapy was recognised as a key advance, and its spread to other countries of the world, particularly Sweden, has demonstrated its general applicability. Helen Tyrer is Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the Centre for Psychiatry, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London.
