Author Information

Yinka Ogunlowo was born July 22nd, 1984 in Harlem New York and was the 3rd of what would eventually be 5 children born to Stephen and Janet Ogunlowo. During his youth and teenage years his family lived all around New York City and eventually settled down in Elmont, NY where Yinka attended and graduated from Sewanhaka HS. He proceeded to obtain a bachelors degree from SUNY at Old Westbury and a masters degree at Liberty University in Virginia. Yinka began his journey as an Entrepreneur in the summer of 2008 when he started a small business in the fashion industry. Combining his passion for art and his unique sense of style he created a brand that people immediately gravitated towards. He later went on to open a sneaker and clothing boutique, launch a production company with 2 close friends as well as an athletic company providing player development service to basketball players all over the world. Yinka's latest undertaking is as the founder of RUN Sports and the RUN App. It was the culmination of an idea that began brewing 2 to 3 years earlier. His goal is to try and unite the basketball community in a unique, fun and interactive way. Mr. Ogunlowo began his journey as an author and illustrator by self-publishing ""Nicolas The Dreamer,"" a real life version of a bedtime story he would tell his son. His purpose in telling the story was to help him understand what the roles ideally were for different members of his community, as well as to spark the habit of dreaming about his own dreams for his future.
