This delightful story emphasizes the rewards of a socially conscious effort made by a child who wants to help the children in his community, and how a family can become involved and work together towards that goal. The gift of giving is something we can all be reminded of, and this Christmas story filled with colorful illustrations is one that the whole family can enjoy reading together to spark thoughts on ways they might help others. --Tara Provini Family social services program director Nick's Santa Sleigh is sure to be engaging to young readers, and strongly portrays how we can come together to make a difference in the lives of others. This multigenerational story with bright, whimsical illustrations, assists with character development and serves as a useful tool for classroom teachers and parents to open discussion and interpretation on what it means to give and receive. This would be a worthy addition to any personal, school, or public library collection. --Dena Meyerhoff Educator, elementary and middle grades
