Kathleen Barnes is the author of Nicholas Catches a Fish. Growing up, she spent memorable summers with her siblings at their grandparents' house. They had lots of fun, like riding their old red wagon down a hill or fishing in the creek. She also learned to ski on that same hill. Kathleen feels lucky that her own boys have experienced the same sort of adventures that she did. She loves her grandparents very much and cherishes those childhood memories.
