Author Information

brooklyn baggett (she/her) is an NYC-based trans poet and artist. She holds an MFA from Goddard College and teaches workshops in tactile poetry. Her debut book, rais(z)ing brooklyn, is forthcoming from Querencia Press. brooklyn's work has appeared in Yellow Arrow Journal, samfiftyfour, Broken Lens Journal, Impossible Archetype, Big Muddy, and River Styx, among others. her chapbook, we cast shadows & other true stories, is available on her website. brooklyn is founder and managing editor of new words {press} - a poetry press for trans* and gender-expansive poets. brooklyn is dedicated to the radical act of being herself and lifting the voices of trans* poets. Aly Allen is a trans poet and parent. Her book Paying for Gas with Quarters is available from Middle West Press. Her recent works appear in Consequence and Two Hawks Quarterly. She earned a BA creative writing from University of Houston and an MFA creative writing at Oklahoma State University, where she teaches composition.
