It is well written and organized with a great deal of care. This book takes a look at how we got here and has some good ideas about the future. In general, this is a representation of what is going on in the world of psychiatry, managed care, fiscal issues, the alterations in medicine which have reflected themselves very deeply on the practice of psychiatry. The book is highlighted by outstanding chapters by Alan Stone and Norm Clemens, both of whom have taken their topics and made them into very important and significant statements for the field at large. The entire book is an excellent panoply of ideas and representations of our situation that need to be understood by every psychiatrist. This is a must-read book. -- Paul J.
