A former Guggenheim Fellow, his other writings on witchcraft include Articleson Witchcraft, Magic, and Demonology (1992), TheWitch-Hunt in Early Modern Europe (1995), and Witchcraftand Magic in Europe: The Eighteenth and NineteenthCenturies (1999).
