New Perspectives on the Irish Catholic Tradition

Overview

New Perspectives on the Irish Catholic Tradition is a book of essays based on articles previously published in Position Papers. This is a monthly journal which explores theoretical and practical aspects of the Catholic faith, particularly as it is lived out in Ireland. The writers are Irish and Catholic, and are drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds. Each of them brings their own particular expertise and life experience to bear on a diverse range of issues including liturgy, pastoral work, politics, culture, bioethics, and Church history. This collection endeavours to present a thought-provoking examination of philosophical issues based on the Catholic tradition while, simultaneously, providing an encouragement to fidelity.
