Author Information

Joseph Maida is an artist based in New York City. He has exhibited in the United States, Europe, Japan and China, in solo exhibitions at Daniel Cooney Fine Art, Wallspace, the Nikon Salons, Tokyo and Osaka, and 403 International Art Center, Wuhan. His recent series, Things R Queer is featured in Aperture's book on the history of food photography Feast for the Eyes as well as the eponymous traveling exhibition through Europe and the United States from 2018-2022 including stops at the Photographers Gallery, London, and the Hassalblad Foundation at the Gothenburg Museum of Art, Gothenburg. Maida has taught at schools including Yale University, Parsons the New School, SUNY Purchase.
