OverviewIn Christ Jesus, we are given a new identity. We are no longer defined by our past mistakes or by the labels that society has placed upon us. Instead, we are given the righteousness of Christ and are made into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Ephesians 2:10 states, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. We are God's handiwork, created anew in Jesus for a purpose. In Christ, we are given a new identity as children of God (John 1:12). We are no longer slaves to sin, but have been set free to live in righteousness (Romans 6:18). We are no longer defined by our past, but by our new identity in Jesus. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are given a new identity. We are no longer defined by our past mistakes, our failures, or our limitations. We are no longer bound by the labels that society has placed upon us or by the expectations of others. We are now children of God, free to live our lives according to His plan and purpose. Our new identity in Christ Jesus is one of righteousness, holiness, and grace. We are forgiven of our sins and made pure in the eyes of God. We have access to the power of the Holy Spirit, who guides us and empowers us to live a life that is pleasing to God. We are no longer slaves to our own sinful nature, but have been set free to live in righteousness. With our new identity, we are given a new purpose and a new mission. We are called to love God and love others, to share the good news of salvation with those around us, and to make a positive impact on the world. We are equipped with the gifts and talents that God has given us to serve Him and His kingdom. Our new identity in Christ Jesus is something to be celebrated, embraced, and lived out to the fullest. It is a gift from God that brings joy, peace, and fulfillment. It is something that we can take pride in, and it gives us hope for the future. We are no longer who we were, but we are who God has created us to be, a new creation in Christ Jesus.
