Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationAndrew Foss is Technical Program Lead on Nuclear Markets, Economics, and Systems Analyses at Idaho National Laboratory. He is currently on detail assignment to the U.S. Department of Energy as Senior Advisor in the Office of Policy. He has contributed to numerous reports and articles on nuclear cost reduction strategies, commercialization pathways, investment cases, and policy planning. He has collaborated with national laboratory and government colleagues, university researchers, private developers, and entrepreneurs. He received a master’s in public policy with concentration in energy and natural resources from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a bachelor’s in physics from Amherst College. Nicolas Stauff is Group Manager, Nuclear Applications and Economics Group at Argonne National Laboratory. He leads various projects for DOE-NE in the areas of techno-economics and market analyses for nuclear energy, and for nuclear reactor vendors in the areas of advanced reactor design and Multiphysics analyses. He is author/co-author of 16 journal articles, 80 conference peer-reviewed publications, 5 U.S. patents (3 pending), 4 open-source software programs, and over 100 technical reports. He received his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from the University of Paris XI and his M.S and B.S. in electrical engineering from the SUPELEC school in France.
