Never Too Late

Overview

Words are one of God's greatest gifts. But we are so familiar with words, and use them in so many practical ways, that we can fail to miss the beauty inherent in words, as well as the beauty words can convey. Never Too Late follows in the tradition of formal English verse which strives to make every word count--literally and lyrically. The poems in this volume will help you appreciate the power of words to open new horizons of understanding and experience and to guide you into revelations of God and His glory that await and beckon us every day.

Reviews

""Each poem in this collection aims to 'rout / confusion, ' to pull up weeds of vice or folly and till the ground for praise, illumination, and virtue. As a result, T. M. Moore has given us words that can be lived by amid darkness both existential and quotidian."" --Jeffrey Bilbro, Associate Professor of English Literature, Grove City College ""Soaked in Scripture and biblical wisdom, T. M. Moore's marvelous collection of poetry will delight you; the variety of forms, meter, and moods he employs. Some tickle the ears, others place us in front of a mirror, and still others force us to contemplate eternity. But more importantly, T. M.'s poetry begs us, compels us, to open our eyes! To see the hand of God in the world around us, and to embrace every moment as a gift from our Creator and an opportunity to bring him glory in the smallest of tasks or greatest of challenges."" --David Carlson, Retired Editor, BreakPoint with Chuck Colson ""From the whisper of thunder, to Susie's bridge, to the call of the leaf, these rare poetic jewels take us through all the vicissitudes of life, both its joys and its sorrows. These lovely words deserve slow, meditative consumption in order to change not only one's point of view but one's very character. Our age is in desperate need of good poetry even though it may not know it. Never Too Late by the incomparable T. M. Moore is a good place to start."" --William Edgar, Professor Emeritus of Apologetics, Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia ""T. M. Moore has an unparalleled ability to write poetry that is completely natural and unforced while maintaining the enchantment of rhyme and meter. I think Shakespeare would have envied him. And too, like Shakespeare, within the beautiful lines is real substance that transcends any ideology and communicates direct truths of the universe capable of connecting with the human spirit, or at least the human poet."" --Evan Mantyk, President, The Society of Classical Poets, Mount Hope, New York ""In Never Too Late, T. M. Moore reminds us that God speaks to us through all seasons and activities of life. Through the power of poetical insight, Moore explores the wonders of creation, the mystery of marriage, the shadow of death, and our longing for Christ's Kingdom to come. These pages contain a lifetime of wisdom, filtered through the Scriptures and distilled to their most potent essence through the discipline of poetry."" --M. G. Moland, Dean of Education, Arts and Sciences, LeTourneau University
