His pastoral work with families includes 16 years as a congregational rabbi in Metro Detroit. He developed the text of this book while studying at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City. Currently, he is the Senior Director at the Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network. Michelle Sider is an artist and teacher whose work reflects her extensive studies in the fine arts as well as her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit. Earlier, she worked in private practice as a psychologist but, for many years, has worked as an illustrator, designer and educator.
