Her scholarly focus includes metalinguistic skills, neurocognitive mechanisms underlying learning, and the interaction between medical history and developmental trajectories. She holds a Ph.D. in Special Pedagogy and Psychology (Metalinguistic Skills) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and currently conducts postdoctoral research within a medical academic environment, strengthening the interface between medicine, psychology, and education. She also holds two Master’s degrees (M.Sc.) in Special Education (Speech Therapy and Counseling) and Educational Policy and Administration, as well as two undergraduate degrees in Linguistics and Pedagogy, reflecting a structured and specialized academic trajectory in language, cognition, and educational sciences. With more than 20 years of clinical and educational experience, Dr. Zerva has worked extensively with children and adolescents presenting neurodevelopmental profiles, contributing to comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, individualized intervention programs, and interdisciplinary clinical collaboration.
