OverviewInspired by faery myth and folklore, the haunting, heart wrenching tale of a changeling called Nettle in a dark, foreboding faery kingdom. A girl is entranced by the glittering domain she has crossed into. She dances under skies spangled with scarlet stars, she grows close to Kai, a human who’s been stolen, and falls under the spell of mysterious Ellion, a Shadow Faery. She does not know this place is rotten at its core. To try to help her beloved grandmother who is fading in our world, she makes a pact with the faery king. He’ll heal her grandmother in exchange for Nettle completing three tasks. She agrees, not realising that she has been tricked. Even so she completes tasks the king believed impossible, including weaving her namesake, nettles, to produce a cloak that gives him power over his estranged queen. In this wild, dangerous fantasy kingdom Nettle discovers, too late, her part in a centuries old love story and the price she will pay - remaining forever in the realm of immortals for those she loves.
