Reviews

The illustrations and the radiological images are all of high quality, making this book a valuable reference for thoracic and cardiac anatomy. It should be on the bookshelf of all radiologists who interpret CT or MR images of the chest. -Bennett Greenspan, MD, MS(Medical College of Georgia) Doody Review: 5 stars This book shows you the classic, high-quality images that Dr. Frank Netter produced during his lifetime (1906-1991) and became world renowned for, as well as present-day images obtained through technologies currently used such as computer tomography (CT) and the more recently-developed cardiac computed tomographic angiography (CTA). The full-color anatomical paintings and the technological images in this volume are numerous and the information provided in them is prodigious. This book is a keepsake and a valuable reference source. It is a virtual gem, I wouldn't hesitate to say. Nano Khilnani

This book presents classic Frank Netter and Netter-style illustrations of thoracic and cardiac anatomy. The thoracic illustrations are presented in correlation with CT scan images which are shown in two windows, soft tissue and lung. The cardiac anatomy is presented in correlation with cardiac CT and cardiac magnetic resonance (MR) images. This is appropriate for radiologists and other practitioners who wish to improve their understanding of cardiothoracic anatomy, although the author does not address this point in the preface. It is also a useful reference for trainees in radiology and relevant clinical fields. The illustrations and the radiological images are all of high quality, making this book a valuable reference for thoracic and cardiac anatomy. It should be on the bookshelf of all radiologists who interpret CT or MR images of the chest. Doody's Reviews Bennett S.
