Table of ContentsReviews2015 BMA Medical Book Awards: Highly Commended in PaediatricsIn the third edition of this textbook (previously edited by Solomon and Esterly) the editors, Eichenfield, Frieden, Mathes and Zaenglein, have expanded its scope to include skin disorders arising in the neonatal period and infancy. The wonderful aspects of the prior editions have been preserved or improved upon. The text is clearly written and enhanced by the many color photographs of dermatologic disorders. Whenever possible there is a renewed effort to include evidence-based recommendations...Neonatal and Infant Dermatology is far more than an atlas. It is a state-of-the-art presentation of the diagnosis and management of skin disorders, and a road map for future interventions to enhance the well-being of the newborn infant. Foreword by: Richard A. Polin, Feb 2015 This is the third edition of a book on infant dermatology that presents excellent quality color photographs as well as advice on diagnosis and management based on the superb expertise of a multitude of respected pediatric dermatologists. There is a wealth of valuable clinical information in this updated book on neonatal and infant dermatology. It is a valuable addition to your medical library if you treat infants. - Patricia Wong, MD Doody's Score: 95 - 4 Stars! The quality of the many full-colour illustrations is of a very high order and the text remains very readable. I checked this book for a few of the common and rare skin conditions that I have been involved in managing over the last year and found the information to enhance my own literature review and to concisely summarise the most important information needed by a neonatologist. When I was medical student I was told that the skin is what you need to keep your innards in?. I am now wiser and more experienced, but without a copy of Neonatal Dermatology? I would be considerably less knowledgeable about this fascinating speciality. Prof Malcolm Levene - Seminars in Fetal and Neonatal Medicine, May 2008BMA Book Awards 2008 - Highly Commended I cannot praise this book too highly. The first edition was a revelation and the second builds on the quality of the first. Very little is published on neonatal dermatology but there are many clinical problems arising from it the quality of the writing, the illustrations and the layout are superb. I recommended the first edition to many others, and have used it frequently since I came across it I am sure that the second edition will earn a similar place on my bookshelf near to my computer and right at hand. 2015 BMA Medical Book Awards: Highly Commended in Paediatrics In the third edition of this textbook (previously edited by Solomon and Esterly) the editors, Eichenfield, Frieden, Mathes and Zaenglein, have expanded its scope to include skin disorders arising in the neonatal period and infancy.
