Author Information

Neisha Crosland is a surface pattern designer recognised internationally for her sophisticated and unusual color combinations, and her impeccable attention to balance and proportion. Oversized graphics and symmetrical geometric motifs characterise her designs. Since graduating in 1984 from the Royal College of Art, London, her body of work has propelled her to the forefront of UK design and she has won many important design awards. In 2006, she was honored with the title Royal Designer for Industry (RDI), a high accolade for designers in the UK as only 200 designers can hold this title. She started her own textile company designing scarves and accessories in 1994, selling to international high-end fashion shops and department stores. She has gone on to design fabrics, wallpapers, rugs, tiles, fine china and stationery, as well as home and fashion products. Her work is archived in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, can be seen in many fashionable five-star hotels, clubs, restaurants and homes. It has also graced the sets of Oscar-winning films and is frequently referenced in leading design publications.
