Author Information

David Kurud was born and raised in Morris, Minnesota, close to where the big pine trees grow. A graduate of the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities, David enjoyed a career in advertising that included work for a Minneapolis newspaper, the Star Tribune. He now lives in Green Valley, Arizona. The Story of Needles took forty years to complete, and David hopes it will become part of cherished Christmas traditions. Darcy Bell-Myers has loved to draw and paint since she was a little girl. She is the illustrator of Mary Emma, Walk!, Wyatt's Big Day, Treasure's Gift, Emmy and the Rude Rooster, Grandma Has Wings, Higgledy Piggledy, and the author of The Animal Babies Book of Ballet and The Animal Babies Book of Princesses. She lives with her husband and three children in Stillwater, Minnesota.
