Overview

A group of sixty three ancient Shaivite saints who lived in Tamil Nadu in India during the period from sixth to the eighth century A.D are called 'Nayanmars'. Most of them are famous for their poetry in in Tamil in praise of Lord Shiva-one of the Hindu Trinity. This book contains brief details about the life of these sixty three Nayanmars.

The Author, Venkataraman. M, hails from Tamilnadu state in India. He worked in various Ministries and Departments of the Central Secretariat, New Delhi on a wide range of subjects, which include matters relating to Public Administration, Recruitment procedures, Preparation of reports and Personnel management. He retired as Deputy Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi in 2004 after putting in more than 35 years of service in the Government of India.
