Author Information

Capt. Richard L. Wright, USN (Ret.), is a defense consultant and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. His assignments included extensive sea duty in surface combatants and aircraft carriers, as well as command of a frigate, a destroyer, and a destroyer squadron. He also served as a special assistant for Secretary of the Navy John Lehman, Jr., in 1983-86. He lives near Washington, D.C.
