In the workplace, various federal laws safeguard employees from pregnancy-related discrimination. Chapters 8 through 11 offer an overview of key protections, such as the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA), while discussing their legislative history, practical applications, and limitations. Lastly, Chapters 12 and 13 focus on resources for pregnant individuals with substance use disorders, providing valuable information for both affected individuals and the professionals who support them.
