Author Information

Wuti's grandfather was part of the Chumash tribe, who were originally from the Santa Ynez Indian Reservation. She was born in Santa Barbara. As a youngster, she enjoyed nothing better than helping her father and the other people of the tribe, also known as the Samala, to practice their ancient herbal techniques. She earned her Master's Degree at Claremont Graduate University, California, in Naturopathy and Acupuncture. Then she moved to Portland, where she lives with her husband and 2 daughters. She has worked with medicinal herbs for more than 15 years. Now, she has decided to share and spread her passion and knowledge with others, by running seminars all around the country.
