Overview

The National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) has served as the vehicle for co-ordinating and reporting on activities in the dynamic field of nanotechnology across the Federal Government. Twenty departments, independent agencies, and independent commissions participate in the NNI, representing a wide variety of missions, responsibilities, interests, and expertise. The National Nanotechnology Initiative Strategic Plan outlines the broad goals of the Initiative and supports those goals by delineating specific objectives. It provides a framework to foster co-ordination and collaboration across agencies and serves as a guide for individual NNI member agencies as they prioritise activities relating to research, development, training, and infrastructure.
