WILLIAM SMITH is a Hawkins Scholarship award winner, given to attend a Christian college of his choice.After high school, he joined the United States Air Force toward the end of the Vietnam War. Mechanical talent led him to a twenty-year career as an aircraft subject matter expert on several different airframes. He is a licensed airframe and power plant mechanic and pilot. While actively serving in the military, he attended colleges from around the globe, completing his BS from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and an MS from the University of Arkansas.
