As nanopartículas coloidais monodispersas foram caracterizadas por diferentes métodos, incluindo espectroscopia UV-Vis, SEM, TEM, AFM, EDS, FTIR, TGA, DLS e Zetasizer. Após a investigação da atividade anticancerígena das nanopartículas nas linhas celulares cancerígenas MCF-7, Caov-4 e HeLa utilizando o ensaio MTT, o seu mecanismo foi investigado mais aprofundadamente utilizando citometria de fluxo e PCR em tempo real.
