Author Information

Dr. Anurag Kumar Singh is a Research Associate (ICMR-RA) in the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology at IIT BHU, Varanasi. He earned his PhD from the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery, IMS, BHU, and an M. Pharm from Central University of Rajasthan. With more than 3.5 years of postdoctoral experience, he has worked at Alabama State University (Cancer Biology Research and Training) and Bar-Ilan University (Institute of Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials, Israel). His research centers on nano-particulate systems for chronic pain, neurodegenerative disorders, and brain-targeted drug delivery, including dendrimers, nanoporous silica/silicon materials, and polymeric nanoparticles for controlled delivery. He aims to develop nanomedicines for biomedical applications and to bridge engineering, pharmaceutical, and medical research. He has published widely, including reviews/editorials, and authored/editor of four books and over ten book chapters. Dr. Vivek Kumar Chaturvedi is a Young-Scientist Fellow (Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (India). He earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of Allahabad (a central university), Prayagraj, India. He had a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Gastroenterology, IMS-BHU, Varanasi. He received his B.Sc. degree in Zoology, Chemistry, and M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU), Jaunpur, India. Dr. Chaturvedi currently actively engaged in drug delivery, tissue engineering, synthesis and functionalization of bio-nanomaterials as well as their fabrication for the development of various biosensors. He has voluntarily served as a reviewer, published many original articles in peer-reviewed high-impact journals along with many international books, magazine articles, and chapters. Santosh Kumar Singh is a Senior Scientist at the Centre of Experimental Medicine & Surgery, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Dr. Jay is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, India, since 2017. He received his Ph.D. degree in Polymer Science from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in 2010 and did MSc and BSc from Allahabad University, India. He is actively engaged in the development of nanomaterials (CeO2, NiO, rare-earth metal oxide, Ni, Nife2O4, Cu2O, Graphene, RGO etc.), based nanobiocomposite, conducting polymer and self-assembled monolayers based clinically important biosensors for estimation of bioanalaytes such as cholesterol, xanthine, glucose, pathogens and pesticides/toxins using DNA and antibodies. He is actively engaged in fabricating metal oxide-based biosensors for clinical diagnosis, food packaging applications, drug delivery, and tissue engineering applications.
