OverviewIt has been recently announced that β-glucan with globular small particles size has higher disease resistant capacity due to its induced strong immune and antitumor activity. This work was designed to extract the nano β-glucan (NGs) by a novel direct modified approach from mushrooms using acid base procedure. From mushrooms using the acid-base procedure. Then, two metal nanostructures were prepared using NGs namely; selenium and silver nanoparticles, in turn, constitute a high proportion of the antibacterial and antitumor properties of the hydrogel system. Wound healing application was the main objective that we aimed to evaluate using in vitro and in vivo studies. The results reveal a nascent member of highly effective antitumor/antibacterial agents that can be harnessed for wound dressing application and cancer therapy.
