OverviewThe female physique has long been the subject of photographic art, but a turn in the last few years has been to focus on the male body instead. Naked Desire is 128 pages of full-colour male art portrait and physique photography with very little writing, allowing the photographs to speak for themselves. It is a selection of photographs with a common theme - natural men, not models, who are challenging themselves by being photographed by a stranger without the protection that clothes provide. It is about trust, vulnerability, honesty and desire. The work is high contrast, integrating the model into a setting that complements them, with many lit only by natural light. Angles, symmetry and location are vital. It is about exploring and exposing the natural beauty of regular men.
