Overview

Nackara returns home soaking wet after a day working in the fields only to be sent by her mother to look for her youngest sister, who had gone to pick flowers. Her search takes her over hills, through fields turned for spring planting, and into the woods until finally Nackara sees two thugs standing over the limp form of a young girl whose blood is pooling with the rain to flow into the streamlet nearby. It is her sister, dead. Heart tearing from her chest, Nackara screams, feeling a burning rage of fire move through her body and strike out at the assailants. She attacks for her sister, for the pain she feels, for the guilt of not being there in time. The two men drop lances of dark power searing their bodies to smoldering hunks of flesh. The ripples of this unleashed fury are felt far beyond the creek where her sister died. This is the beginning of the search for her destiny.
